Above All Else - Where Skincare Meets Self-Care

Who We Are

As a young girl, I didn't have issues with my skin. It wasn't until I had my son, that I began to suffer from hormonal breakouts and severe hyperpigmentation. There was not a steroid or medicine that the doctor prescribed that helped me, it all worsened my condition.

Fast forward to 2020, I tried everything. I was beginning to become frustrated and self-conscious about it. I began to research natural remedies to heal my skin and began making products that I could use for myself. Some formulas worked, while others didn't. I kept researching. I learned that gut health, stress, and more are also closely related to the health of the skin. So, I also worked on my mental health in the process.

Then, I found natural soaps, cold process soaps to be exact. I was so excited about my results that I went further and made a rose-infused oil made with lightweight oils to seal in moisture. I provided family and friends with samples in small increments being that I was just trying things out.

Realizing what I was doing was improving my health physically, mentally, and spiritually, I knew that I had to share my products with the world. The feedback was enough for me to give it a try- all while raising my son, working a full-time job, and studying to receive my BS in psychology.

Fast forward to today, I did not imagine nor want to begin a skincare line. Above All Else is my second baby from God (that's the best way I can put it). This was not a passion of mine, nor a dream of mine, but once I received so many messages about how my products have given my customers their confidence back and the gift of healthy skin, I knew I had to keep growing.
